Sales over sales

OBSERVATION

So, this week my observation is on educational content.

You’ve probably been told you need to give value in your content so you focus on writing  ‘how to’ content, tips and tricks to help your audience, like:

– 3 ways to reduce overwhelm as a biz owner

– how to stop people pleasing 

– what is hypnotherapy

The problem with this kind of content is that mostly always it results in saves and not sales.

Why? Because it doesn’t showcase your expertise enough. 

Here’s what to do instead: 

Educate your audience on why what they are doing is preventing them from getting the very thing they desire e.g. [    ] is negatively effecting [          ].  

e.g. educational content is negatively effecting your sales or calorie counting is negatively effecting your weight loss.

I’m surrounded by mind body practitioners and remembered saving this post from Karden. 

It’s such a great piece of educational content as it takes a belief his audience has, NS Regulation is about calming down) and explains why that’s not actually the case, showing casing his expertise. 

The structure of the post is very clever too, but more on that another day.
